Planted in 2003 with 23 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Riesling, Syrah and Merlot, the vineyard is managed with love by members of the Kontokosta family. With more than 50 national and regional wine awards, Kontokosta Winery prides itself on having assembled a loyal team whose unwavering goal is to produce exceptional, memorable wine year after year.

An enchanting venue offering breathtaking sunsets and magnificent views of the Long Island Sound, Kontokosta Winery is the perfect waterfront location for an extraordinary wedding, corporate retreat, or any special event. The winery offers idyllic outdoor space for tented functions of up to 300 guests May through October as well as intimate indoor gathering space for up to 80 guests year-round.
Site fees for summer and fall events range from $15,000 to $25,000 for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Please inquire about winter, off-peak and midweek fees.
Located just minutes from Greenport Village, Kontokosta Winery is the North Fork’s first and only waterfront tasting room and winery. Situated on sixty-two acres, the winery property boasts over a quarter mile of Long Island Sound waterfront.
The Kontokosta family owns and manages the vineyard and farm operations on a day-to-day basis, producing award-winning wines sold direct to consumer and only available at the winery and through our e-commerce site. The family's daily involvement allows them to sustainably shepherd the vines to guarantee consistent fruit quality and ripeness from vintage to vintage.
Perched atop sweeping bluffs overlooking the region’s coastline, guests are invited to sit at a picnic table and enjoy our handcrafted wines in the maritime climate from which they were created.

VISITOR INFORMATION
In an effort to ensure that all of our guests have an amazing, memorable and comfortable experience when visiting the winery, we respectfully ask that our guests keep the following guidelines in mind:
PETS
Due to insurance requirements and the realization that not all of our guests love dogs as much as we do, pets are not permitted.
OUTSIDE ALCOHOL
Pursuant to New York State law, no outside alcohol is permitted on any part of the winery
grounds. We reserve the right to inspect all bags of any person on winery grounds to effectuate compliance with the law.
OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
As we have a selection of local cheese, charcuterie, breads and other sweet and savory snacks and beverages for guests to purchase, outside food and drinks are not permitted.
LIMOUSINES AND BUSES
Limousines, buses and vans are not permitted.
CHILDREN
Families are always welcome but we ask that children be accompanied and supervised
by an adult at all times and in all areas of the winery grounds.
USE OF THE PREMISES AND BEACH ACCESS
Throwing or tossing of any athletic equipment or toys (including, but not limited to, balls, kites, Frisbees, etc.) is not permitted. Additionally, folding chairs, umbrellas, blankets, tents, coolers or music are not permitted.
Unfortunately, there is no beach access from the winery grounds.
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Professional photography, film or video shoots are not permitted unless pre-approved
and scheduled in advance by winery management. Site fees and insurance requirements will apply.
PRIVATE PROPERTY
Kindly note that Kontokosta Winery is private property and access and use of the winery
grounds is for patrons only. As such, we reserve the right to refuse service and/or remove persons who are
disruptive, disorderly or otherwise negatively affecting the experience of another guest or staff member.
